Sun shading louvres and brise soleil panels

Why it is built this way

Louvre depth and angle are set from your elevation and orientation. A west facade in Johannesburg needs a very different blade to a north facade in Durban, and treating them the same is how buildings end up too hot and too dark at once.

This is where specifiers usually want drawings rather than a brochure. Everything is issued as CAD for approval, and we are happy to work directly against your elevation drawings.

  • 01

    Heat stopped outside the glass

Far more effective than internal blinds, and it does not cost you the view.

  • 02

    Angled for your elevation

Blade depth, spacing and angle calculated from orientation — not a one-size louvre.

  • 03

    Drawn for approval

Issued as CAD against your elevations so the consultant team can sign it off before anything is cut.

How this one gets made

Four steps, one workshop

  1. Step 01

    Measure

Send the opening. Rough is fine — a photo with a tape in it beats a perfect drawing.

  2. Step 02

    Draw

We draw your actual panel at full scale and you approve the CAD before anything is cut.

  3. Step 03

    Cut

CNC laser cut, then powder coated or sprayed, on our own machines in Prospecton.

  4. Step 04

    Fit

Flat-packed with fixings and a drill template, or fitted by our team or an approved installer.

Questions people actually ask

How do you decide the blade angle?

From the orientation of the facade and the sun path at your latitude, weighted to the hours the space is actually occupied. Send elevations and we will come back with a proposal.

Can you work from our drawings?

Yes, and we prefer it. Send DWG or PDF elevations and we will draw the shading against them and issue CAD for approval.

Is this suitable for a commercial facade?

For the shading panels, yes. Anything requiring structural or wind-load certification needs an engineer on your side — we supply the cut aluminium, not the structural sign-off.

Tell us the opening. We’ll draw the panel.

Rough dimensions are fine — we confirm every measurement on the CAD before cutting. No obligation, and no pushy follow-up.
