Pattern is a specification before it is a style. Open area decides how much light, air and view gets through — so we quote it as a number, not a vibe.
Reed
25 – 40% openVertical slots of varying width. The safest seller and the easiest to live with.
Suits — Balustrades, dividers, pergola blades, geyser enclosures
Perforation gradient
15 – 55% openAperture size eases across the sheet. Privacy where you need it, light where you do not.
Suits — Aircon covers, gates, fence runs, inverter screens
Contour
30 – 45% openTopographic bands that read as landscape. Works well across long horizontal runs.
Suits — Boundary walls, gas cages, balustrade infills
Mashrabiya
20 – 40% openInterlocking geometry with an exact repeat. The traditional screening pattern, cut to tolerance.
Suits — Mosque screens, room dividers, feature walls
Khatim
25 – 45% openThe eight-pointed seal — two overlapping squares, with a small rotated square between. The geometry behind most contemporary Gulf and Saudi screening.
Suits — Mosque screens, feature facades, gates, entrance walls
Najdi
30 – 50% openThe stepped triangular perforation of Diriyah and old Riyadh. Reads as strong horizontal rhythm across a long run.
Suits — Boundary walls, facades, balustrade infills, shading
Seljuk
25 – 42% openThe interlaced twelve-point star of Anatolia, with hexagonal fillers. The Turkish tradition, cut to modern tolerance.
Suits — Mosque interiors, room dividers, ceiling and light detail
