Screens & privacy

Aluminium privacy screens, cut to your opening

A privacy screen is a light calculation. Too closed and you get a wall; too open and you get a fence. We set the aperture so you keep the breeze and lose the neighbours.

Why it is built this way

Every screen starts as a drawing of your actual opening — not a stock size trimmed to fit. You tell us the gap, we draw the panel, and you approve the CAD before a single cut is made.

Because we cut, coat and pack in one workshop, there is no third supplier holding up your job and no middleman margin in the price. Small panels usually leave within about five days.

  • 01

    You choose the open area

Pattern density is a specification, not a style choice. We can tighten it at eye level and open it above.

  • 02

    Light enough to fit yourself

At 2 mm, a flat-packed panel is a one-person job with a drill. Heavy steel screens are not.

  • 03

    Any colour, properly applied

Powder coated or spray painted to match your window frames, your wall, or a colour you picked off a paint chart.

How this one gets made

Four steps, one workshop

  1. Step 01

    Measure

Send the opening. Rough is fine — a photo with a tape in it beats a perfect drawing.

  2. Step 02

    Draw

We draw your actual panel at full scale and you approve the CAD before anything is cut.

  3. Step 03

    Cut

CNC laser cut, then powder coated or sprayed, on our own machines in Prospecton.

  4. Step 04

    Fit

Flat-packed with fixings and a drill template, or fitted by our team or an approved installer.

They drew it before they cut it, and the drawing matched what arrived to the millimetre. That is rarer than it should be.

Questions people actually ask

How much privacy do I actually get?

It depends on the pattern and the viewing angle. As a rule, an open area under about 35% blocks a direct sightline from a few metres away while still passing air and light. We will tell you what a given pattern gives you before you commit.

Can I install a privacy screen myself?

Yes, for most residential sizes. Panels ship flat-packed with the fixings and a one-page fitting guide. You need a drill, a level and usually one other pair of hands for the larger sizes.

Will it rust?

Aluminium does not rust. The powder coat is there for colour and UV, not for corrosion protection. We still give a 12-month warranty on every job.

How long does it take?

Small screens are usually ready in about five days. Larger custom runs take longer and we quote a real date with the CAD, not an optimistic one.

Tell us the opening. We’ll draw the panel.

Rough dimensions are fine — we confirm every measurement on the CAD before cutting. No obligation, and no pushy follow-up.
